Our hearts go out to the many victims that are suffering from the devastation of Hurricane Michael. We know this is going to be a long road to recovery for individuals as well as the many businesses impacted with damage. Equally so, we understand that many of you, beginning with the evacuation of the property October 8th, are affected with loss of use.
Panama City Resort and Club sustained severe damages, although there are repairs and services that need to be restored. Further investigation of surface damage around the property has uncovered additional issues requiring professionals to confirm the damaged areas are safe for occupancy.
Storm affect basic services unavailable at this time may be off for an extended period of time. Conditions for the Panama City Beach area include; dusk to dawn curfew restricting all to their place of residence or location, limited gas supply, restaurant closures, store closures, clinic and hospital closures. Extenuating effects from Hurricane Michael include; re-purposed fire-rescue resources conducting search and rescue, over-taxed public service personnel, heavy traffic from recovery teams, and mobile food kitchens feeding the displaced residents and recovery service personnel.
We appreciate the outreach from owners wishing to help. Church organizations, local and state programs are working very hard in the area to provide basic needs for many, and the numbers continue to grow as response teams arrive daily to assist. Our Admin staff is currently working to add links to the website with information for you to consider helping the stricken Bay County residents, which include some employees of Panama City Resort and Club.
